Yukon & Sled Dog Tour from Skagway
Yukon & Sled Dog Tour Yukon & Sled Dog Tour -- What a great Yukon experience! Miles of pristine wilderness, crystal lakes, waterfalls and (weather permitting) glaciers, and the dog sled ride of a lifetime! Your all day Yukon adventure begins as we follow the 1898 Gold Rush Trail over the summit and on into Canada's legendary Yukon. As your guide relates the stories of the stampeders and their trials, you'll leave behind the coastal rainforest and enter the subarctic alpine tundra of the "Tormented" Valley - a virtual moonscape! We'll see the White Pass Trail of '98, the Fantail Trail, and Summit & Fraser Lakes before passing back into the boreal forest for Lakes Tutshi and Tagish. View the historic silver mines of Conrad, Bove Island, the native village of Carcross and the Carcross Desert, affectionately known as the world's smallest. Even though the winter snow has melted you can still enjoy 20-25 minutes of summer dog sledding on our custom wheeled cart, on a dirt trail.
Cancellation Policy: There are no refunds. All sales are final. Change Fee Policy: If changes are allowed on a tour or activity, a $20.00 per reservation change fee will be applied for any change to a reservation. While we cannot guarantee any changes can be made, all change requests must be submitted a minimum of 24 hours prior to the tour departure and must be handled on an individual basis through our Reservations Center. You'll feel the thrill of being whisked along the trail through an area actually traveled by the Gold Rush Stampeders! Hear the unique and exciting stories of winter dog mushing, carouse with the playful puppies and pet the sled dogs. Fun for all ages! Included is the North's premier educational wildlife exhibit, featuring over 100 Yukon & Ice Age animals on display, along with the world's largest mounted polar bear! We'll enjoy a delicious barbecue chicken lunch, too. There are plenty of photo stops along the way, so don't forget to bring your camera, as we'll be watching for wildlife!
